I had an epiphany today. I was just walking along and the idea hit me… The Jehovah’s Witnesses claim that Jesus cannot be God because he is the Son of God. Well, do the JW’s believe that Jesus was man? I mean if Matthew 9:6, to give one example, says that he is the Son of man, then by their logic he is the Son of man and not man. Does that make any sense? Well, not much else of what they believe does either.
But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. (Mat 9:6)
If jesus was god or the son of it, then you are too. You cant have a supernatural event. only natural ones.
Reality is hard to describe sometimes. but it is the only thing that is real
Jesus IS God, and I am not too, according to the Bible, the most reliable and practical guide to spirituality.
A few places where men are referred to as Sons Of God.
***Genesis 6:1-2 1 When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the [sons of God] saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.
***Hosea 1:10 “Yet the Israelites will be like the sand on the seashore, which cannot be measured or counted. In the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ they will be called [sons of the living God].
***Romans 9:26 ”It will happen that in the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ ’ they will be called [sons of the living God].
And of Course reference made to the coming of Jesus
***Luke 1:35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.
Jesus himself said in the “The beatitudes”
Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
